Program Therapist

Provide therapeutic services for patients utilizing group, individual, and family therapy sessions to older adults in an intensive outpatient environment. They work within a small, interdisciplinary team with a focus on quality patient care and provision of services ordered by a physician. The Licensed Therapist documents all completed services in compliance with provided standards and regulations and is thorough with details and organization.

Care: All employees are expected to provide the best possible patient care

– Ensure accurate completion of the psycho social assessment on each patient

– Ensure accurate completion of group psychotherapy notes for each patient

– Ensure accurate completion of treatment plans

– Demonstrate understanding of mental health assessment of older adults

– Demonstrate an understanding of gerontological counseling treatment, group therapy, theory, and evidenced based practices

– Provide understanding of gerontological case management

– Ensure understanding of mental disorders associated with aging

Compliance: Ensure the program operates within all regulations

– Participate in outcome studies timelines, understanding of administration of the tests and when they are to be reported

– Participate in treatment team meetings with medical director

– Comply with 25-point check list

– Complete all notes in prescribed timeline

– Comply with all regulations

Community: Become a wonderful addition to your local community

– Demonstrate understanding of community education definitions and activities

– Participate in customer service training as it relates to community integration

– Present Senior Life Solutions to community as directed by Program Director

– Participate in cohesive team environment to ensure program success


– Education: master’s degree in social work from an accredited graduate school of social work or master’s degree in other counseling related field.

– Licensure: License in Social Work or Counseling as recognized by state. May include LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.

– Certification: Must meet any applicable state certification standards.

– Experience: Two to three years of clinical experience with older persons, extensive group work, hospital or nursing home experience preferred.

Founded in 2003, Psychiatric Medical Care manages more than 65 Senior Life Solutions programs across the U.S. Senior Life Solutions is an intensive outpatient behavioral healthcare program designed to meet the needs of adults over the age of 65 who are struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety often related to aging. Paramedic – PRN

Ambulance Department

Assist with day to day operations of the Ambulance Service. Provide patient care both prior to arrival at the hospital and in hospital, to include Acute Care Floor, Emergency Room or where needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Staffing Ambulance calls.
  • Supervise other members of Ambulance crew.
  • Radio communications.
  • Communicates with nurses, physicians and other EMS personnel to give patient reports.
  • Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Operate emergency vehicle.
  • Perform all Paramedic skills as defined by the State of Iowa and local protocols.
  • Responsible for cleaning and restocking Ambulance after a call.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Iowa EMT-P Certification
  • Chauffer’s License, but not CDL.
  • ACLS certification.
  • BCLS certification.
  • Understands HIPAA regulations and privacy of patient and employee information.

RCH participates in the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS). As of July 1, 2018, 6.29% of the employee’s gross wages are withheld from each paycheck and sent to IPERS along with 9.44% percent of the employee’s gross wages that are contributed by the hospital.

Deferred Compensation
Additional retirement planning, in the form of deferred compensation, is made available through payroll deduction. Interested employees should speak with the Personnel Department.

Health, Dental & Vision Insurance
Full-time and regular part-time employees of Ringgold County Hospital are eligible for coverage on the first of the month following the completion of thirty (30) days of employment.

Term Life
Employees of Ringgold County Hospital are eligible to enroll in group term life and travel accident insurance at the end of their orientation period.

Additional Insurance Coverage
Employees also have the option to enroll in hospital indemnity, personal sickness indemnity, accident insurance and cancer insurance through AFLAC.

Short-term & Long-term Disability
Employees of the hospital are eligible for benefits derived from short-term disability (STD) and long-term disability plans. Pamphlets and information on STD/LTD are available in the Personnel Department.

Paid Time Off
Ringgold County Hospital provides for vacation, personal, sick time and holidays in the form of paid time off (PTO). Employees begin earning PTO immediately and are eligible to use their PTO following successful completion of the orientation period. Full-time employees earn PTO at the rate of 5.54 hours per pay period.

Employees working on one of the seven holidays—New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day—shall receive time and a half for time worked on the holiday.

Flexible Benefits Plan
RCH has a flexible benefits plan that allows employees to pay for health insurance premiums, qualifying medical expenses and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars. Employees may enroll for benefits within thirty (30) days of their employment-eligibility date or at the annual open enrollment period each December.

Direct Payroll Deposit
Employees of Ringgold County Hospital may enroll in the direct deposit program, opting to have their paychecks directly deposited into their bank accounts.
