Dr. Eric Martin is a heart health specialist, with board certifications in cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and advanced cardiovascular imaging. He joined the MercyOne Iowa Heart Center in West Des Moines in 2007. Dr. Martin received his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines and completed his residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete his cardiology fellowship at East Tennessee State University and his advanced cardiac CT/MR fellowship at the University of Florida at Shands Hospital. Before joining Iowa Heart, Dr. Martin was the director of cardiovascular imaging at Rockford Cardiology Associates in Rockford, Illinois. When he’s not working, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with his family and getting to know people.
