Erin Leonard, ARNP
Erin Leonard, ARNP Nurse Practitioner Erin Leonard grew up in Mt. Ayr and knew she wanted to practice in the medical field after her high school years working as a CNA. She obtained her LPN and RN degrees prior to her ARNP, and in her words stated, “I knew I wanted to dive in deeper and be able to help on a different level. As a nurse practitioner, I enjoy autonomy and being able to treat the whole patient as well as being able to do more for my patients.” One of Leonard’s favorites is caring for moms during their pregnancies and then meeting and caring for their newborns, watching them grow. Leonard chose practicing in her hometown because she values the importance of good rural healthcare and believes in her team at Ringgold County Hospital. Leonard spends a lot of her free time with her husband Daniel, and children Parker, Hayes, and Rowan. She likes to exercise and tries to get a vacation or two during the year to rest. When asked to name the biggest challenge in medicine today, Leonard cited “access” to the same resources for all patients.
