Jean Schmitt is a native of Holy Cross, Iowa. She earned a nursing diploma from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids. She later obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from Graceland University in Independence, Missouri. Jean completed her nurse practitioner training in 2006. She joined the Iowa Heart Center in 1990 and practices at the clinic at MercyOne Des Moines.
